As you may have guessed, this is by far the most popular and utilized type of marketing that exists to date. Once you have a list of which people to market to, it costs relatively little money to implement. You can create email templates and pre-schedule them to be sent out daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Keep in mind that sending emails is not free. Aside from the time spent creating content and the money spent acquiring email addresses, there is also a cost to send. If you are sending a newsletter to a few hundred people, the cost is negligible.  If however, you are sending emails to thousands, hundreds of thousands or millions of recipients per month, the costs increases significantly.

If you create the right message and send it to the right people, you can have great success email marketing.  In addition, you can tie in this type of marketing with your website (if you sell products or services online, this is a must) or other promotions that relate to your products or services.
